OWEN GABBERT PRESIDENT__________________________________Owen has had a passion for building all of his life. After spending seven successful years as project and operations manager with Green Gables, a Portland-based design/build construction company, Owen formed his own company to expand further into real estate development and consulting while continuing to manage and build construction projects.
Owen draws on a broad range of experience, which includes managing residential and commercial construction and development projects for homeowners, building tenants and property owners. Owen's steadfast commitment to client satisfaction enables him to bring every job he works on to a successful conclusion. Raised in the Irvington neighborhood of NE Portland, Owen returned to Portland after graduating from Willamette University with a degree in History and American Ethnic Studies. As an involved alumnus of Catlin Gabel School, Owen previously volunteered as Alumni Board President and was a member of the Board of Trustees. Owen is active within his neighborhood, and serves as chair of the Boise Neighborhood Association Land Use and Transportation Committee.
PATRICK LEUE DIRECTOR OF PEOPLE AND CULTURE__________________________________Patrick leads our hiring efforts and is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining systems that support employee growth and retention while grounding in our company values. Patrick leads our outreach in community engagement, seeking out opportunities for our employees to meaningfully connect with the communities we work in, while also spearheading our internal drive to improve our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.
HAILI MCGAHACONTROLLER__________________________________Haili received her accounting degree in 2013 from UNLV and began focusing on construction accounting in 2015 after moving to Portland. Through her previous roles, she gained additional development accounting experience by working on several affordable housing projects. She enjoys experiencing the entire cycle of the development and construction process, from land purchase to construction and through to property management. Her favorite part of work is developing new ideas and processes to make herself more efficient, which usually involves a new magic Excel trick! Outside of work, you can find her baking, gardening, going to a show, working on a house project, or cuddling up on the couch with her husband and three cats.
SEAN BAIRDSAFETY MANAGER/ FACILITIES MANAGER___________________________________Sean manages the company tool library and runs job site safety, helping ensure that the whole team can work effectively and safely. When he’s not organizing on the back end, he’s helping on countless job sites. Sean says he appreciates taking part in the process of making someone’s home or business work better for them. As he puts it, “I like being part of clients’ exciting projects. The work I do matters.”
LEROY MATASHOP AutoCAD DRAFTER/ DESIGNER_________________________________Leroy is responsible for collaborating with design partners, as well as the shop and project teams, to produce detailed design and build documents for casework and furniture projects. He also creates basic architectural elevations and floor plans for remodel projects. Throughout his career, Leroy has worked in industrial fabrication design, retail and event display, and for a large cabinet maker. A career highlight was drawing a knife gate valve used by the SpaceX program, an achievement that earned him a mission patch. His favorite part of the job is designing functional, buildable pieces and learning from more experienced builders. In his free time, Leroy enjoys fishing, working on older cars, woodworking, sewing, and propagating plants and trees for his yard.
DEVIN O’NEALPROJECT MANAGER___________________________________Devin previously served as Associate at Allied Works Architecture and Co-Founder & Director of Heliotrope Architects Portland Studio. He is engaged in a variety of interdisciplinary roles, encompassing design and construction project management. Devin is rigorously organized and attentive to detail, utilizing a collaborative process of design thinking and creative problem solving.
FERNANDO NAVARROCOMMERCIAL SITE SUPERINTENDENT_________________________________Fernando has over 20 years of experience in construction, many of those managing large commercial projects such as tenant improvements, medical facilities, and multifamily developments. From studying architecture to learning finish carpentry and fine finishes, Fernando has developed an eye for detail and quality. His breadth of experience has exposed him to a variety of management styles and procedures, improving his ability to quickly jump into projects and relate to and collaborate with others. His favorite part of the job is visiting completed projects and seeing how the spaces are utilized. Outside of work, Fernando loves spending time with his daughter, discovering the world through her eyes.
ANGIE GOLLEHERSITE SUPERINTENDENT__________________________________With 20+ years of management experience Angie is an invaluable member of our team. Angie’s diverse background enables her to provide strategic guidance across several core competencies, including quality assurance, budget development, material management and resource allocation. Angie’s firm understanding of the process contribute to her keen ability to provide oversight and communication to both the internal team and the client.
CHRIS CURRYSITE LEAD__________________________________Chris oversees work sites bringing a balance of technical skill and design passion. As a past deconstruction supervisor, he manages on-site protection and demolition while his background in art and architecture shines through in his carpentry and finish work skills. Most recently, Chris orchestrated the design and construction of his own home remodel and addition giving him insights into his client’s needs.
JENSEN MARINEAUSITE LEAD__________________________________Jensen started with our team as a carpenter but has since grown into a Site Lead position. He enjoys framing and finish carpentry and is happy to work with thoughtful and like-minded individuals that share his passion for the work. In his free time, he is working on a family cabin, mountain biking, snowboarding or cooking at home.
RORY TURNERSITE LEAD__________________________________Rory grew up in a family of real estate developers and residential remodelers. Buying property and transforming it is something that comes very naturally to him. One of his most notable past work experiences was working on the Serena Williams building at the Nike complex, which, as he put it, was an “amazing building to be a part of.” To him, construction is always a puzzle to be solved, “there's a number of ways to take on any task, but the process of dialing in your methods and practices is exciting.” In his time off, he taps into his creative side by tie dying or sign painting.
DINO STURGEONSHOP LEAD CARPENTER__________________________________Dino is responsible for both fabricating and installing casework, millwork, and furniture, working independently, and leading a team of shop carpenters. He attended the Oregon School of Arts and Crafts, where he specialized in traditional furniture making. After graduation, he joined his brother’s woodworking shop, progressing from an apprentice to roles as a shop foreman, project manager, and lead estimator. Dino takes pride in his comprehensive understanding of project flow, from his craftsmanship and problem-solving in design to interpreting drawings and managing processes. In his free time, he enjoys playing guitar and has even built some of his own stringed instruments.
ERIK FREEMANCARPENTER ll__________________________________After working as a social worker with adults with developmental disabilities for many years Erik needed a change. Many of his friends worked in construction so they encouraged him to apply for some jobs at their firms. He started as a laborer, but over time he built up his skills as a carpenter and now enjoys finish carpentry the most. In his spare time Erik enjoys reading - anything fiction, fantasy, or science fiction.
MATTHEW HIBDONCARPENTER l________________________________Matthew found his path in carpentry through a family friend’s apprenticeship opportunity, igniting a natural interest in the craft. Since then, he has honed his skills, particularly proud of his precision with tools like the router table for creating detailed profiles on railings, balusters, and cabinet doors. One of his standout projects was a three-story helical spiral staircase made with western maple and walnut, designed to look like a single, seamless twist of wood—a challenging and beautiful accomplishment.For Matthew, the best part of his work is the tangible satisfaction of completing a project and knowing he’s crafted something enduring. Outside the shop, he’s passionate about combat sports, including jiu-jitsu, boxing, and MMA. Matthew thrives on the intense honesty and intrinsic challenge in these sports, finding focus and camaraderie on the mats.
NATE ETHINGTONDRYWALL SPECIALIST_________________________________In addition to supporting the carpentry team, Nate is an expert drywall finisher. Some days, he is prepping sheetrock or walls for brand-new paint. Other days, Nate helps with demos or skim-coating walls. As he puts it, “It feels great to work with a supportive and talented team. We get things done and we have a great time while we do it!”
MIKE SCHEIDTSHOP APPRENTICE_________________________________After 15+ years in graphic design Mike decided to alter his life by joining our team with the goal of becoming a carpenter. He is proud of his ability to learn fast but is also aware of the time it takes to learn a craft – something he has learned as a singer, song writer, and musician. Being a musician has helped him open up to people and develop techniques for learning challenging new things. He currently has a residency at the local Landmark Saloon but has gone on tours and recorded multiple albums. In his free time, he is honing his craft and trying to write that hit song that he can retire on.
MARIJKE DIXON DIRECTOR OF FINANCE__________________________________Marijke began working with Owen in 2014 as a freelance bookkeeper; as the company grew, so did the need for oversight of the finances and operations. Marijke left the freelance life and joined the company full-time in 2018. Marijke oversees all things financial and manages the company’s daily operations. Marijke’s background is in operations and finance, but her loves outside of work are classical piano, skiing, biking, roses, and her dog Gia.
AARON STEVENSDIRECTOR OF CONSTRUCTION________________________________As our Director of Construction, Aaron is directly responsible for the preconstruction and management of large residential and commercial projects, which includes business development, estimating, and overseeing our Project Managers and Superintendents. Aaron has over 20 years of experience, having worked for and progressed within high-end residential and large commercial firms throughout the Northwest. His journey in the industry began as a carpenter while studying art at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA and shortly thereafter as a Project Manager with Habitat for Humanity in Portland, OR. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to contribute to influential and award-winning projects in Passive House, Living Building Challenge, Mass Timber, and CLT construction. We are fortunate to have Aaron's expertise and commitment to innovation, process improvement, and consensus building around a shared vision and objectives. Outside of work, Aaron can be found coaching baseball for his twin boys, cheering on his daughter at softball games, or enjoying a round of golf.
TYLER MOYERPRODUCTION MANAGER_________________________________As the Production Manager, Tyler is responsible for overseeing company-wide scheduling, quality assurance, training, development of personnel, and support for all project teams. He originally started working in construction to pay for his surf trips, but over time he found his career and a passion for the work. With the “Kaizen” mindset of continuous improvement, he has pushed himself from a carpenter to Project Manager and now to Production Manager. Along the way, he has been a part of some fun projects (storefronts for Jack Daniels and Harley Davidson!), however, his favorite part of work is guiding a new generation of craftspeople.
JUSTIN FIELDSCOMMUNITY MANAGER__________________________________With over 25 years of experience in property management, Justin serves as the in-house Community Manager of six properties, including the Owen Gabbert LLC offices and approximately 50 residential units owned by Owen Gabbert and partners. At work, Justin brings a collaborative approach to maximize a property’s potential and enhance tenant experiences daily. He holds a passion for the wilderness and engages in outdoor activities like hiking, camping, boating, and fly fishing. During his leisure time, when not on his boat or at the local links playing golf, Justin can often be found hiking with his two hound dogs, restoring classic cars, or pursuing his hobby of collecting vinyl records and vintage jukeboxes.
RY KOTEENPROJECT MANAGER_________________________________In his early years, Ry purchased a house with some friends in Seattle and undertook renovations while residing in it. He repeated this process several times in both Seattle and Portland, eventually turning it into a career. With a background in graphic design, Ry sought to explore his skills in designing and constructing his own projects. In 2006, he assembled a team dedicated to designing and building medium-sized infill projects, primarily focusing on townhouses. Over the course of more than 15 years, Ry successfully navigated the highs and lows of the real estate market until joining the team at OGLLC. Outside of work, Ry devotes his time to raising two boys, playing tennis avidly, and embracing travel whenever possible.
GREG PALINPROJECT MANAGER_________________________________Greg arrives at the OGLLC team after owning his own construction company, focusing on custom remodeling, new construction, and light commercial projects for 18 years. Before owning his firm, he worked as a project manager for a custom design build team and as a finish carpenter. Following college, he began renovating his first home when a neighbor, a master craftsman, took him on as an apprentice. Witnessing the craft and artistry in building and construction, Greg became captivated. He enjoys collaborative work with clients and teammates, utilizing his interpersonal skills to find creative paths to project completion. Away from the job site, Greg indulges in snowboarding, backpacking, dancing, mushroom hunting, and spending time with his family.
LEE ALWORTHSITE SUPERINTENDENT___________________________________Lee found his passion for construction early on in his twenties. With a love for building things and working with his hands, Lee's journey into the field felt like a natural fit from the start. His enthusiasm for building science and high-performance structures reflects his commitment to creating sustainable, future-oriented building solutions that prioritize environmental considerations. Lee takes pride in his ability to manage complex situations while maintaining a compassionate and balanced approach towards finding solutions. His favorite part of work lies in witnessing a harmonious and engaged team working towards a common goal, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring clear direction for all involved. Outside of work, Lee can be found indulging in his hobbies such as golfing, fly fishing, and cherishing moments with his two young children.
KESTON BROUILLETTEPROJECT COORDINATOR__________________________________Keston has a variety of past work experiences, including being a science camp counselor, a guitar builder and working in human relations, however, he comes from a family of carpenters and has always been drawn to construction and renovations. He is proudest of his ability to communicate with clients and help usher them through the construction process so that their vision comes to fruition. Outside of work you can find Keston enjoying the great outdoors or using those guitar skills at some local venues..
MIKE FITZSIMONSSITE LEAD__________________________________Mike supports our project managers by reviewing upcoming work plans and coordinating with sub-contractors. With a diverse background in carpentry and design, Mike also lends his skills to projects, often completing carpentry tasks on-site. Mike spends much of his free time dreaming up woodworking projects and enjoys making furniture and custom built-ins for unique spaces. Mike is happy to work in a field he's passionate about with a team that's energetic and supportive.
NATE SOLAKSITE LEAD_________________________________In his early career, Nate spent time working on trail crews, farming, and adventuring outdoors. His carpentry journey began with homestead and farm-focused projects, but he soon realized his desire to learn more about the craft and science of building. Since then, Nate has focused on expanding his knowledge of building science, with a particular emphasis on passive house and net-zero design. He has served on the Passive House NW Board and provides training to others in the field. He greatly appreciates the process of helping clients bring their desires to life through the creation of built spaces and witnessing the transformation of their environments. Outside of the job site, he enjoys activities such as white-water canoeing, trail running, camping/ backpacking, and working on home projects.
LEVON CULLENLEAD CARPENTER__________________________________Levon began learning his trade by working alongside his father from an early age. Eventually he took over the family business and ran many successful additions and remodels as a one-man enterprise. Levon decided to join our company as an opportunity to work within a team where ideas are exchanged and he can start to mentor others in the craft.
JOSH TINKERLEAD CARPENTER________________________________Josh grew up in what he describes as a perpetually remodeled home, where he was the default labor. Alongside his parents and grandfather, he learned how to update and install just about every aspect of a home. When he got older, he walked into a furniture store in New Orleans and asked for a job, reading joinery books at night to educate himself. Life moved him to Alaska, where he worked as a house builder in very remote places, forcing him to be organized and resilient, as he was often hours from any kind of supply store. He describes his favorite part of work as “Total immersion. At a perfect peak, work is like a zen meditation. Time flies and I am happy with the accomplishments.” In his time away from work, he is an avid reader, and has a constant curiosity for the natural world.
MARKUS SHEARERCARPENTER ll____________________________________Markus got his start working summers in commercial construction, where he first honed his skills. He then expanded his expertise by working on historic and custom homes in Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. The process of seeing a project through its various stages and finding a harmonious flow with his team has kept Markus inspired throughout his more than decade-long career. Outside of building, Markus enjoys playing music, hiking, running, and photography.
RJ KLINGELHOFFERCARPENTER ll__________________________________Originally from the Midwest, RJ grew up in the business as his father owned a home building company. In search of a different career path, he dedicated years to photography and videography, but after freelancing in that industry for many years, he’s come back to what he knows best! When he isn’t painting, he is able to help the team on many other aspects of the job, which he appreciates as he can get his hands dirty while learning new skills.
ALEX ANFILOFIEFFEXCAVATOR SPECIALIST_________________________________Alex grew up on a local family farm, so much of his background and expertise comes from experiences working on the property. Thanks to the wide range of skills he developed growing up, from running heavy machinery and working the land, he’s able to do a bit of everything. Adding to that, his easygoing attitude makes Alex an essential member of the team.
EMILY SICKLESTEELLABORER__________________________________Emily is embracing a new career in construction after 16 years of experience in the culinary world as a head baker. She loves working with her hands and has a passion for woodwork, making her an eager learner in the trades. Outside of work, she enjoys rehabbing furniture, creating custom dog food for her pups, riding her motorcycle, and expressing her creativity through painting, writing music, knitting, and sewing. Emily's sense of humor and ability to find joy in everyday tasks make her a valuable addition to our team.
SHANE BOLANDDIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT__________________________________Shane designs and underwrites current projects seeking out new development and land opportunities. His many years of experience working in architecture and project management, coupled with his academic background in urban policy and design, contribute to Shane’s unique ability to tackle a variety of projects. As such, he consults with our clients closely to help manage the construction process and oversee design needs.
JORDAN COMPISHUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER_________________________________Jordan brings over a decade of experience leading Human Resources teams for large organizations across the U.S., including multi-state and multi-facility operations. She has extensive expertise in supporting companies through periods of rapid growth and implementing new systems for recruiting, onboarding, training, and compliance, all while strengthening company values and employee culture. Jordan is passionate about making a meaningful impact on employee development, whether through training, solving organizational challenges, or fostering new connections. Outside of work, she enjoys working on stained glass projects, hiking, cycling, and watching reruns with her dog and partner.
STACEY SELLERSOPERATIONS MANAGER/ HR ADMINISTRATOR__________________________________As the Operations Manager/ HR Administrator Stacey works with all teams to provide human resources and operations support in the office and on the jobsite. Stacey has worn many hats, working as a production assistant in the film industry, consulting in web design and SEO, and starting a dog sitting and walking side business. Prior to joining OGLLC, Stacey worked at ClarkBuilt, Inc. for eight years as their Office Manager, including HR and Accounting. When not at work, Stacey enjoys backpacking, riding her motorcycle, traveling, baking, and tackling some personal construction projects. Stacey also enjoys volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society socializing cats and dogs before adoption.
GARY NASHSHOP MANAGER__________________________________As the Shop Manager, Gary is tasked with mentoring and managing the shop team while overseeing the shop projects including collaborating on pre-construction and design, leading material acquisitions, fabrication, scheduling, and quality control through all phases of the project. Gary was hooked after his first wood shop class in 7th grade and started working in a local cabinet shop right out of high school. For eleven years Gary managed his own full service design and build shop specializing in custom cabinetry and furniture. Although Gary has been responsible for some large build outs across town, he is very proud of the movie poster cases for the iconic Hollywood Theater in NE Portland. During his time off he enjoys fishing, hunting, hiking, backpacking and a bit of mountain biking.
DALE MORSEPROJECT MANAGER__________________________________Dale has a wide range of experience working as an integral subcontractor on projects throughout the Pacific Northwest, including the Gerding Armory Theater and the University of Washington campus expansion. Dale’s attention to detail, along with more than two decades of experience, allow him to coordinate and problem-solve in a way that brings projects full circle in a successful and satisfying way for everyone involved.
JEFF LUEDTKESENIOR COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENT__________________________________As Senior Commercial Site Superintendent, Jeff oversees individual project management while also supporting scheduling, phasing, constructability, QA/QC, software training, labor allocation, and other aspects of preconstruction and construction for all our commercial and multifamily projects. Jeff joins the OGLLC team after 15 years with a general contractor in Bozeman, Montana, where he started as a laborer during college and worked his way up to Superintendent. One of his most memorable projects was the redevelopment of a former National Guard concrete building in downtown Bozeman into a 120-room boutique hotel with three restaurants. Having worked his way through various roles in construction, Jeff takes pride in the fact that he never asks anyone to do a task he hasn’t done himself. As a new resident of the Pacific Northwest, Jeff enjoys exploring the local wilderness and rewarding his adventures with visits to new breweries.
ADRIAN ANDERSONSITE SUPERINTENDENT___________________________________With 14+ years of and construction and management experience Adrian can run both residential and commercial projects, from whole house remodels to commercial tenant improvements. He is responsible for client interface, scheduling, on-site oversight of all carpenters and subcontractors, architect coordination and working with city permitting and inspections. He has a perfectionist’s eye for detail and can foresee challenges ahead, circumventing them from the start.
ZACH WHEELERPROJECT COORDINATOR__________________________________Zach joins the team after spending the last 7 years in the Bay Area doing boutique residential construction, working as both Project Manager and a Carpenter. Prior to that he spent time as a Project Manager for Chicago Public Schools, was a Life Coach for college students, and worked as a Wilderness Guide for at-risk teens. Zach draws on his depth of experiences to ensure a seamless and successful construction process. When not at work, Zach continues to hone his carpentry, design skills, and attention to detail by working on his house.
HUNTER JAWORSKISITE LEAD__________________________________With a degree in fine woodworking, Hunter brings a passion and skill that provides expert-level framing and finish carpentry for both our residential and commercial projects. His favorite part of work is collaborating with talented colleagues and making unique and functional pieces that accentuate the natural beauty of different woods.
DREW SPROUSESITE LEAD__________________________________Drew grew up on Edisto Island in South Carolina, working on wooden and fiberglass hulled boats. After 20 years in the service industry and 12 years as a chef, Drew left his job during the pandemic to remodel his own home. This transition spurred opportunities in the construction industry. His attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure, skills he learned as a chef, are just as important in the field. In his free time, Drew can be found rock climbing, surfing, BMX biking, or catching a show at a local venue.
EHUD GUYLEAD CARPENTER__________________________________Ehud is a highly skilled lead carpenter with over two decades of experience in woodworking and construction. His career began in the late 1990s at an antique piano restoration workshop in NYC. Later, he expanded his expertise into general construction and eventually established his own remodeling business in Philadelphia, with a strong focus on custom woodwork. Over the years, Ehud has completed a variety of residential woodworking and high-end renovation projects, as well as unique installations for upscale restaurants and bars.Ehud’s strengths lie in his artistic craftsmanship, attention to detail, and his ability to bring ideas to life with lasting quality. He contributes to projects with innovative thinking, a dedicated work ethic, and precision. Outside of work, Ehud enjoys spending time with his son and his dog, and he performs as a bass player with several local bands.
ALEJANDRO ARIASCARPENTER ll_________________________________Alejandro began working in construction in the United States in 2004, building on a rich family tradition of craftsmanship. In Mexico, his family owned and operated a wood shop that specialized in building doors, windows, furniture, and millwork. This background instilled a deep appreciation for quality and attention to detail in Alejandro. Over the years, he has honed his skills, particularly excelling in custom projects. He takes great pride in these projects involving complex joinery techniques. These projects not only demonstrate Alejandro’s technical expertise but also his passion for creating beautiful and functional spaces. Outside of work, Alejandro enjoys spending time with his wife and their three dogs. They love taking their furry friends on walks to the park or embarking on hikes around the northwest.
AIDEN BRISTOWCarpenter l_________________________________Since joining OGLLC, Aiden has assisted teams in any way he can, from demolition to jumping in with a shovel. With experience working in an oilfield, climbing cell towers for telecommunications, and engaging in other construction work, Aiden possesses a broad set of skills that have proven highly useful. Now, he is ready to refine his skills as a carpenter and believes that the "family-like attitude among employees will anchor him here for the foreseeable future.”
TAYLOR SIELINGCARPENTER l__________________________________After years of working jobs in warehouses with no opportunity for craftsmanship or creativity, Taylor was laid off during the pandemic. In his free time, he started woodworking, and eventually decided that he wanted to try carpentry. He hasn’t looked back since. He is most proud of his attention to detail and patience to get high detail tasks done correctly. Outside of work you can find Taylor honing his woodworking skills on personal projects, skateboarding, and riding his bike.
TRISTAN GOVREAULABORER__________________________________Tristan transitioned from the architectural side of the AEC industry to hands-on construction, driven by a passion for high-quality craftsmanship, material stewardship, and sustainable design. After completing the hours needed for architectural licensure, he decided to step away from his desk job to learn the practical side of building. His background also includes architectural design across various sectors, graphic design, design-build art installations, and experience as a course facilitator at the University of Oregon. Tristan’s enthusiasm for high-quality craft, his eagerness to learn, and his curiosity about complex systems make him a valuable addition to any project team. Outside of work, he’s an adventurer at heart with a love for the outdoors. Whether it’s mountain biking, skiing, or hiking, Tristan enjoys exploring nature and prioritizes environmental stewardship. He can often be found gardening with native species, camping, or spending time with his partner, beagle, and cat.
SOREN CLARKDIRECTOR OF COASTAL DIVISION_________________________________As the Director of the Coastal Division, Soren develops and oversees all remodel and custom home building services at the Oregon coast. As a resident of Cannon Beach, he has a depth of knowledge and relationships at the coast allowing us to provide much needed services there. At the age of 8 Soren built his first tree house and by middle school was turning out skateboarding ramps. He was formally introduced into remodeling and carpentry when he moved to Portland for graduate school and met a mentor that helped him further his craft. In 2006 Soren founded ClarkBuilt, a residential remodeling firm that was acquired by OGLLC in 2023. Outside of work surfing is an important part of Soren’s wellbeing - and he is still building treehouses and skateboard ramps - now with his kids in mind.

Sarah leads the marketing team, manages our existing assets, and supports new development opportunities. Sarah has many years of work experience in organizational development, project management and strategic communication in the Portland real estate development fields.
KATHRYN WONGPAYROLL MANAGER_________________________________Kathryn oversees various essential tasks including payroll, safety protocols, time tracking, day-to-day office needs, assisting Marijke in accounting and numerous other critical functions that keep our team running smoothly. Kathryn’s professional background is in restaurant and bar management, which ties into her personal love of good food and wine. Kathryn enjoys being a part of such a creative team and appreciates seeing how remodels and new projects evolve while maintaining an awareness of how they affect the surrounding communities.
CARMEN HERNANDEZSHOP PROJECT COORDINATOR_______________________________As the Shop Project Coordinator, Carmen ensures projects stay on schedule and on budget within the cabinet shop team by managing material ordering, project documentation, scheduling, and assisting in the preconstruction estimating and design process. With extensive industry experience, Carmen began as a laborer within her family’s concrete construction business, worked as an independent contractor specializing in home improvements, spent time in wood shops as a finisher, and later transitioned to estimating and project engineering for a millwork firm. Alongside her keen eye for detail and years of on-site experience, she enjoys collaborating with clients and design teams to actualize their designs.
CARL OHLSONPROJECT MANAGER_________________________________Carl is a third generation Master Carpenter with 20+ years of construction and management experience in high-end residential remodeling and restoration, new construction and light commercial. He recently moved here from California where he was a licensed GC in the San Francisco Bay for 10+ years. His expert experience in budgeting and procurement of materials allows our teams to complete projects efficiently and on time. In his free time, he enjoys wood working, automotive restoration and design, metalworking, and spending time with his family.
JOHN KEENAN-MUDRICKCOMMERCIAL SITE SUPERINTENDENT________________________________John has over 25 years of experience in the industry, including 15 years as a Site Superintendent throughout the region. After completing the Architecture program at PSU, he has worked in both residential and commercial construction, with nine years dedicated to Habitat for Humanity. His expertise spans a wide range of affordable housing projects, from entire communities to single-family homes, for-sale condominiums, and large multifamily developments. John thrives in the collaborative nature of construction, working closely with teams to enhance housing and the built environment within the community. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, kayaking, visiting cafes and bookstores, catching a dinner-and-a-movie at McMenamins, or playing saxophone with his band around town.
CORY FREESITE SUPERINTENDENT_________________________________Cory is the 5th generation of a family of builders and developers. After earning a degree in Construction Science and Management from Clemson University, he joined the family business, where they focused on developing and building extended-stay hotels throughout the Southern United States. Upon relocating to Oregon, he shifted his attention from commercial work to residential remodels, particularly focusing on the restoration of older homes in Portland and finish carpentry. He takes pride in his ability to guide his team through projects with confidence while enjoying the process. Additionally, Cory founded and manages a community darkroom and 'photo clubhouse' called The Portland Darkroom. When he's not working, you can find him exploring and photographing the Pacific Northwest in his camper, volunteering at Pickathon, or working on his old Beetle.
JAKE ANTLESSITE LEAD__________________________________Before joining the team Jake worked as a Site Super on a cottage cluster cohousing community where he now lives with his wife. He loves construction for the knowledge that at the end of a project his thoughtful work will contribute to a century or more of safety, peace and belonging for an untold number of families. Jake enjoys spending time in his community, backpacking and sailing.
HARLEY KNIGHTSITE LEAD_________________________________Harley has always had an interest in building and started taking on little projects in high school. While living in Hawaii, he got the opportunity to take the lead on a variety of projects, including building an Ohana dwelling from start to finish, tackling every trade except MEP. He is most proud of his ability to adapt and quickly jump into new projects. During his time off, you can find him at the beach surfing or river rafting.
TYLER STITESSITE LEAD__________________________________At the age of 21 Tyler took a job on a ranch in Colorado wrangling horses but over time he worked his way to foreman, managing their building projects. Life then took him to Hawaii where he was the caretaker of a permaculture farm and retreat center before landing in Portland. His ability to adapt to different situations is crucial in construction and he is proud of how he can work well with others and lead diverse crews. His most notable hobby is flying around town on his electric unicycle!
MARLIN HARVEYLEAD CARPENTER_________________________________Marlin's passion for the craft began in the 80s while watching This Old House with his father. Not only is he a talented carpenter, but he has also pushed himself to learn many skills such as altering and creating his own clothing, making musical instruments, and repairing his own cars. Marlin enjoys the daily process of problem-solving with his colleagues and relishes the results of their collaborations. In his free time, you can find him playing music, watching baseball, and sharpening his tools (which he does almost daily!).
WILL DUNLAPCARPENTER ll__________________________________Will brings a variety of job experience with him making him an asset to the team. Among Will’s best qualities are his hard-working attitude and willingness to learn. Will’s reliable and friendly nature make him a welcome addition on the job site. You can count on seeing him wearing a smile and a pair of purple or yellow sunglasses most days.
ELI GODLESKECARPENTER ll__________________________________Through high school Eli worked with friends doing some landscape work. Over time it grew till he was managing a small crew of landscapers installing and building planter boxes and irrigation systems. Since then, he has learned structural welding by building ocean going barges and worked on many residential projects, one of which was a net zero home remodel. Eli is great to have on site as he “likes solving problems and making things work when conditions are not as expected or ideal.” In his spare time, he enjoys small metal fabrication projects, tinkering, and hanging with his partner and pets.
ISAAC THOMASCARPENTER l__________________________________Isaac always had an interest in the field, but no experience. After applying to many entry level positions, he finally got his shot. Eventually he was moved into the cabinet shop – his ultimate dream job. He finds so much enjoyment in seeing a job go from shop drawings to putting the finishing touches on site. His favorite part of the job is learning from his talented coworkers and making things come to life. Isaac is a true Portland foodie, keeping up with the local hot spots and trying new recipes for food and drinks at home.
MITCHELL ROBERTSONLABORER__________________________________Mitchell entered the field of construction after gaining experience in commercial appliance delivery, where he enjoyed the camaraderie of working in a close-knit team. Encouraged by a friend, Mitchell decided to transition to the building side of the industry, bringing with him a strong background in teamwork and hands-on experience. Known for his social and communication skills honed through years in the restaurant industry, Mitchell excels in collaborative environments. He finds fulfillment in being recognized for a job well done and enjoys the variety that each workday brings. Outside of work, Mitchell is an active outdoorsman with a range of seasonal hobbies, from trail running and basketball to lifting at the gym. He’s also a music enthusiast and loves spending time with friends and family over a good margarita.
